After La Paz, Doogie moved to London and joined Midnight Blue.

Doogie White - vocalist with Midnight Blue

Midnight Blue were formed by ex-Tobruk keyboard player Jem Davis and also included guitarist Alex Dickson. They toured extensively and recorded several works before splitting up and going their separate ways: Doogie to Rainbow and Alex Dickson to Gun, Bruce Dickinson, and finally Robbie Williams.

They released one album, "Take the Money and Run".

Last word to Doogie:

"Midnight Blue were a great wee rock band and it took my career up a level from La Paz mainly because we were based in London and we had access to everyone who needed to see us on a regular basis. It was shame that we didn't get the big deal but hey, that's rock'n'roll, and if we had I would have missed out on all the other great opportunities that have come my way. Things happen for a reason...maybe!"
